Jewelry for the Moxie Spirit
Moxie (n.) — courage, determination, spunk, and energy. The nerve to face obstacles. A force of character.
That's the word. That's always been the word.
I've never fit neatly into a box. I've never been the type to slow down, sit still, or do things the expected way. I grew up making jewelry — crafting something wearable out of nothing has been part of who I am since I was a little girl. And I've always been drawn to people, to community, to the energy that happens when you bring humans together around something they love.
So when I discovered permanent jewelry, it clicked immediately. Here was something that combined everything: the craft, the connection, the custom moment between two people. I knew I wanted to pursue it.
What I didn't expect was how perfectly my background would prepare me for it.
In college, I tried to enroll in a metal smithing class — but it was only offered every other year. So I signed up for welding instead. My logic was simple: if I could melt metal at a large scale, I could surely do it at a smaller one. Turns out, I was right. I've since taken countless metal smithing courses and fallen completely in love with the fusion of metal into wearable art.
Moxie Jewelry Co. is the natural result of all of it — the lifelong jewelry making, the welding, the love of community, and an active lifestyle that demands jewelry that can actually keep up.
I'm based in Central Oregon, where the trails are long, the rivers are cold, and the people are the kind who do things fully. I built Moxie for them. For the woman who hikes hard and still wants to feel put together. For the climber, the surfer, the mom, the athlete — anyone who wants beautiful, effortless jewelry that stays on through all of it.
No clasps. No maintenance. No slowing down.
That's Moxie.
